Royal Jordanian, as the name suggests, is an airline meant for a regal flying experience. It is the national carrier of Jordan, with its headquarters in Amman, Jordan. The main hub is located at Queen Alia International Airport at Amman. Royal Jordanian (RJ) is a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization and Oneworld, the global airline alliance. RJ was established in December 1963 through a royal decree issued by His Majesty King Hussein of Jordan. Its modern fleet covers a network of 57 destinations across four continents. RJ won the 'Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation' award for 'Airline Turnaround of the Year 2006' and was also voted 'Airline of the Year 2007' by Air Finance Journal.

Connectivity & Fleet
Royal Jordanian currently serves 57 destinations in four continents with 26 modern aircrafts. The airline is well set to give a lift to its existing fleet and add 12 Boeing 787 aircrafts to stay on track for continuous modernization and to expand its network of national and international flights. At present Royal Jordanian's fleet comprises Airbus 340, A310, A319, A320 and A321. It also includes Embraer aircrafts and A310 cargo carriers. The average age of the fleet is 8.5 years.
Services & Facilities
With an aim to serve better and facilitate passengers with ultra modern techniques and equipment, Royal Jordanian has laid endless focus on improving both ground and in-flight services. In its serious bid to do that, the airline allows passengers to pick their pet seats on the flight. Under regular system, passengers have to usually check-in two to three hours before departure, the airline offers the facility of online check-in. This facility is available four to 24 hours prior to departure, but all passengers must reach transit gate at least one hour earlier. Royal Jordanian facilitates competitive onboard services for the ease of passengers. All the airbus aircrafts in the fleet have an air show service that updates passengers with handy information regarding the destination, weather forecast, speed of the aircraft and flying altitude. The airline broadcasts its video magazine Dandanah on all cabin screens during long haul flights. The magazine includes entertaining and informative clips on various spheres of Arabic life. In-flight entertainment system called Sky Cinema offers full range of entertainment programs for the passengers.

One can shop with Royal Jordanian’s in-flight shopping program Aldeasa. Passengers can browse through in-flight catalogues and shop for various items and accessories such as cosmetics, perfumes, costume jewelry, ornaments and many high-end gift items.
Meals
Crown Class travelers on Royal Jordanian flights are served with sumptuous food and tastes from around the world. Special orders are accepted 24 hours before flight departure. Passengers may choose poultry, beef or fish along with appetizers and salads for their main course meals. Arabic desserts are served after the main course. The airline also serves soft beverages and finest alcoholic drinks to crown class customers during the flight. Economy Class passengers can also choose from beef, fish or poultry dishes. RJ is the only international airline in the world to offer such choice for its Economy class passengers. The main course is served in long haul flights while snacks & beverages are served on short flights. Special meals are served for specific religious or health requirements. This is done only on prior notice though.
Frequent Flyer
Royal Jordanian's frequent flyer program program is called Royal Plus. Passengers are awarded points based on the type, class of flight and destination. Royal Plus members can also get points by traveling on other Oneworld airlines. There are four tiers in the Royal Plus Program namely- Blue, Silver, Gold & Platinum.
