The beauty of nondescript railway stations and their laid-back charm has been brought to life on canvas by artist Bijay Biswal. The romance of rains and glimpse of local life are very nicely portrayed in these paintings and what catches the attention is the mirror-like reflection which makes them look almost ike photographs.
The Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, lauded his work in the weekly programme – Mann Ki Baat saying ‘Mr Biswal has given an excellent example of how to instill more life in ones job.’
The above paintings are by Shri Bijay Biswal, a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) with Nagpur Division of Indian Railways.A self taught artist, Biswal has been playing with colours since the young age of 6. Today, he is a celebrated artist whose work has been sold and appreciated across the globe.
