Starting from August 1, the validity of the e-Visa for tourists will be extended to 90 days, an increase from the current duration of 30 days.
Additionally, the proposal includes a provision for multiple entries, replacing the single entry visa, with the aim of boosting tourism in the country.
Furthermore, the amendments will expand the list of nations whose citizens can enjoy visa-free entry to Vietnam for an extended period.
Nationals from select Western European countries, Japan, and South Korea will be able to enter Vietnam without a visa and stay for up to 15 days. For certain countries, the visa-free validity will be extended to 45 days.
