A new Vande Bharat train will soon be running on the Mumbai–Goa route, Union Minister of State for Railways, Raosaheb Danve, informed legislators from Maharashtra.

Search trainsDanve told the legislators that the Mumbai–Goa Vande Bharat Express will operate on the same lines as those on Mumbai–Shirdi and Mumbai–Solapur routes. Launched last month, the services are designed to reduce travel time between the Maharashtrian cities.
The new route has been electrified and the semi-high-speed train will be introduced shortly after a thorough inspection.
As of February 2023, there are 10 Vande Bharat trains in service in the country. They are currently connecting these cities: New Delhi–Varanasi, New Delhi–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, New Delhi–Amb Andaura, Bilaspur–Nagpur, Gandhinagar Capital–Mumbai Central, Chennai–Mysuru, Howrah–New Jalpaiguri, Mumbai–Shirdi and Mumbai–Solapur.
