The fastest train to be ever launched by Indian Railways, attaining a speed of 180 km/hr, Vande Bharat Express currently runs on the New Delhi-Varanasi route.
Due to inefficient infrastructural support, as of now, the train runs at 160 km/hr, which is still higher than the operating speeds of other luxury and high-speed trains operating under Indian Railways like Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express and Duronto Express trains.
