The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Friday gave a green signal to increase the number of pilgrims visiting the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine from 7,000 to 15,000 per day starting 1st November.

The shrine was reopened after a 5-month gap in August due to the COVID-19 lockdown with an initial cap of 2000 devotees per day which included only 100 people from outside of Jammu and Kashmir.
