Uttarakhand’s Valley of Flowers is Set to Welcome Travellers from 1st June

The much-anticipated Valley of Flowers trek in Uttarakhand opens on June 1, 2024. Adventure seekers will now be able to explore the breathtaking Valley of Flowers National Park.

Travellers can opt for a cab or self-drive to reach Govindghat, situated at an elevation of around 6,000 ft above sea level.


Nature lovers can now plan their three-day, 17-km adventure through this floral paradise. Starting from either Govindghat or Pulna village, the Valley of Flowers trek remains accessible during the Monsoon season until October and November. This trek offers an opportunity to immerse yourself in the pristine beauty of over 300 flower species native to the Himalayas.

Travellers can marvel at a diverse array of flowers, including anemones, wild rose,  geraniums, blue poppies, and bluebells, with over 300 species in total.

In addition to the breathtaking floral display set against majestic peaks, travelers may also encounter rare wildlife species such as the grey langur, flying squirrel, Himalayan weasel, black bear, red fox, lime butterfly, snow leopard, and Himalayan monal.
