US Removes Pre-Departure COVID-19 Test for Travellers

Good news for US-bound travellers!

The United States of America has finally removed one of the last remaining COVID-19 mandates for visitors entering the country. Starting 12th June 2022, international travellers do not have to undergo a pre-departure COVID test or show documentation of recovery from the virus before flying to the country.

Passengers, however, need to carry a full vaccination certificate. Non-citizen and non-immigrant travellers are still required to show a valid proof of vaccination before boarding their flights. 

As of now, the US has accepted two Indian vaccines: Covishield and Covaxin.
