Centre has confirmed that India’s COVID-19 recovery rate is improving and the fatality rate is declining. 

The Health Ministry confirmed that the recovery rate in coronavirus infections is improving and has reached 48.19% in India. Additionally, there has been a steady decline in the fatality rate which is now at 2.83 %.

 

Maharashtra’s ‘Mission Begin Again’ will see relaxations in phases  

After months of restrictions, Maharashtra is ready to open again. As per the new guidelines, from June 5, all markets, market areas and shops, except malls and market complexes in Maharashtra, will be allowed to function on an odd-even basis from 9 am to 5 pm except in the containment zones.

Punjab, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh have given a nod for inter-state travel 

The UP government has allowed inter-state travel. However, restriction on movement of people into Ghaziabad and Noida from Delhi will continue. Other states that have eased restrictions on inter-state travel are Punjab, Telangana, Haryana and Rajasthan.

12-year-old Noida girl booked a flight for three migrant workers  

In a heartwarming act, a 12-year-old girl from Noida paid Rs 48,000 from her savings to purchase flight tickets for the three workers from Jharkhand. She was also praised by Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren who said, ‘grateful to the girl for her sensitivity to the needs of others.’ 


Rajasthan has reopened its monuments 

As a part of Unlock 1, the Rajasthan government has opened all its monuments except those in containment zones. The heritage sites will open four days a week for two weeks with staggered timings.
