1. Flights start between Delhi and Bareilly
Commercial flights between Bareilly and Delhi have successfully been started by Alliance Air under the UDAN regional connectivity scheme. With this, the journey between the two cities, which often takes about six hours by road, can now be completed within one hour.
Passengers must also note that IndiGo will also be launching flights on the Bareilly-Mumbai and Bareilly-Bengaluru route from April 29.
Bareilly is the ninth airport in Uttar Pradesh, after Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Hindon, Agra, Prayagraj and the soon to be operationalised airport in Kushinagar.
2. GoAir to start flights to Tirupati from three major cities
GoAir will be starting new non-stop flights to Tirupati from Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi. While the flights on the Mumbai – Tirupati and Hyderabad – Tirupati route will start from March 28, the Delhi – Tirupati route will be operationalised from May 1.
3. SpiceJet adds new flights to Darbhanga
SpiceJet has added new flights connecting Darbhanga with Ahmedabad and Mumbai. The flights will be operated every day of the week, except on Sundays.
Flight SG 119 will depart from Ahmedabad at 08:35 am and arrive in Darbhanga at 10:45 am. The return flight SG 120 will depart from Darbhanga at 11:15 am and arrive in Ahmedabad at 01:40 pm.
Flight SG 157 will depart from Mumbai at 01:15 pm and arrive in Darbhanga at 04:00 pm. The return flight SG 158 will depart from Darbhanga at 04:30 pm and arrive in Mumbai at 07:25 pm.
4. GoAir adds new flights between Pune and Coimbatore
GoAir will be resuming its services on the Pune-Coimbatore-Pune route with effect from May 10.
While flight G8 2604 will depart from Pune at 04:35 pm and arrive in Coimbatore at 06:45 pm, flight G8 2603 will depart from Coimbatore at 02:20 pm and arrive in Pune at 03:55 pm.
