In order to woo more tourists, the government of Himachal Pradesh is planning to develop trekking routes in the lesser-explored villages of Chamba. The trekking routes will be called ‘nature paths’.
The villages, that include Tissa, Mehla, Bhatiyat and Salooni, are situated on the banks of the Ravi river amidst snow-covered mountain peaks, and are considered to be amongst the most scenic ones in the state.

As per reports, locally-run home stays will also be developed along the nature paths. Since the villages also produce organic vegetables and milk, this is a big advantage for the home-stay concept.
Chamba is popular amongst Shiva devotees because of the pilgrimage-trek of Manimahesh, which attracts a high number of visitors from across the globe.
