Due to unavoidable circumstances, the Indian Railways has announced the cancellation and diversion of several popular trains on major routes.
The Railways has advised passengers to make a note of the affected trains so as to avoid any inconvenience while travelling.
If your train is affected, don’t worry! You can find alternate trains on your preferred route with ixigo:

1) In view of the doubling work between Nankhas – Moth – Erich Road – Paruna stations on Jhansi – Kanpur Central section of the North Central Railway, the following trains will be affected:
Cancelled trains:
>Train no. 12597 Gorakhpur – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Weekly Express will remain cancelled on 21st December.
>Train no. 12598 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Gorakhpur Weekly Express will remain cancelled on 15th and 22nd December.
Diverted trains:
> Train no. 11123 Gwalior – Barauni Express will be diverted via Jhansi – Gwalior – Bhind – Etawa – Kanpur Central on 15th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 21st and 22nd December.
> Train no. 11124 Barauni – Gwalior Express will be diverted via Kanpur Central – Etawah – Bhind – Gwalior – Jhansi on 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th and 20th December.
> Train no. 15066 Panvel – Gorakhpur Express will be diverted via Jhansi – Gwalior – Bhind – Etawah – Kanpur Central on 15th, 17th, 18th, 20th and 21st December.
> Train no. 12589 Gorakhpur – Secunderabad Express will be diverted via Kanpur Central – Etawah – Bhind – Gwalior – Jhansi on 22nd December.
> Train no. 20104 Gorakhpur – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express will be diverted via Kanpur Central – Etawah – Bhind – Gwalior – Jhansi on 21st December.
> Train no. 11079 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Gorakhpur Express will be diverted via Jhansi – Agra Cantt – Tundla – Kanpur Central on 16th December.
> Train no. 22534 Yesvantpur – Gorakhpur Express will be diverted via Jhansi – Agra Cantt – Tundla – Kanpur Central on 15th December.
> Train no. 15024 Yesvantpur – Gorakhpur Express will be diverted via Jhansi – Agra Cantt – Tundla – Kanpur Central on 16th December.
> Train no. 15101 Chhapra – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express will be diverted via Prayagraj – Manikpur – Khajuraho – Lalitpur route on 21st December.
> Train no. 15102 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Chhapra Express will run via Lalitpur – Khajuraho – Manikpur – Prayagraj Jn. on 16th December.

2) Due to non-interlocking work for commissioning of 3rd line connectivity at Jhalwara of Bilaspur Division in the South East Central Railway, the following trains will remain cancelled:
> Train no. 22909 Valsad – Puri Express will remain cancelled on 16th December.
> Train no. 22910 Puri – Valsad Express will remain cancelled on 19th December.
> Train no. 20971 Udaipur City – Shalimar Express will remain cancelled on 18th December.
> Train no. 20972 Shalimar – Udaipur City Express will remain cancelled on 19th December.
3) In order to enhance safety standards, the Eastern Railway has extended the cancellation of the Kolkata – Haldibari – Kolkata Intercity Express up to 26th December.

4) Due to non-interlocking work for commissioning of patch doubling on Merta Road Junction – Degana Junction section of Jodhpur division, the following trains will be regulated as under:
Partial cancellation:
a) Train no. 12307 Howrah – Jodhpur Express has been partially cancelled between Jaipur and Jodhpur from 21st December to 28th December.
b) Train no. 12308 Jodhpur – Howrah Express has been partially cancelled between Jodhpur and Jaipur between 23rd December and 30th December.
