In a move that is sure to delight passengers, the Indian Railways has announced nine new trains and extended eight special trains to various destinations across India.

Important: Only passengers having confirmed tickets will be permitted to board these special trains. Railways has also requested travellers to follow the rules related to COVID-19 during the journey.

Following is the list of special trains that have been extended:
1) Train no. 08579 Visakhapatnam – Secunderabad (weekly) will extend its operation from 5th January to 26th January, 2022.
2) Train no. 08580 Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam (weekly) will extend its operation from 26th January to 27th January, 2022.
3) Train no. 08585 Visakhapatnam – Secunderabad (weekly) will extend its operation from 4th January to 25th January, 2022.
4) Train no. 08586 Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam (weekly) will extend its operation from 5th January to 26th January, 2022.
Also, for the convenience of passengers, the Eastern Railway has extended train services between Howrah – New Jalpaiguri and Sealdah – New Jalpaiguri.

Following is the list of special trains that have been added:
> To clear the rush of passengers, the Western Railway will run weekly special trains between Bandra Terminus and Barmer on special fares from 31st December. The details of which are as follows:

> To fulfill the requirements of travellers, train nos. 06597/06598 Yesvantpur – Vasco Da Gama – Yesvantpur Festival Special Express will operate as per the following schedule:

> The South Central Railway has also decided to run special trains to Kollam from various destinations as detailed below:
1) Train no. 07141 Kacheguda – Kollam will be operated on 3rd and 10th January, 2022.
2) Train no. 07142 Kollam – Kacheguda will be operated on 5th and 12th January, 2022.
3) Train no. 07117 Hyderabad – Kollam will be operated on 4th and 11th January, 2022.
4) Train no. 07118 Kollam – Hyderabad will be operated on 6th and 13th January, 2022.
5) Train no. 07137 Nanded – Kollam will be operated on 6th and 13th January, 2022.
