After the much-awaited high-speed ‘Train 18’, Indian Railways is all set to turn its focus on ‘Train 20’ now. These next generation sleeper class trains will replace Rajdhani Express and is expected to get launched by 2020.
Here are the details about Train 20:
1. Train 20 will be developed at the Integral Coach Factory under the Make in India initiative.
2. It will have an aluminium body with fully air-conditioned interiors.
3. Driven by a self-propulsion module, it could become India’s fastest train.
4. Train 20 will also have CCTV cameras, automatic doors and footsteps, diffused lighting and a GPS-based passenger information system.
5. Unlike the AC chair car, the new train will have next-generation sleeper cars.
