Indian Railways creates history! Prime Minister Narendra Modi flags off Train 18 (Vande Bharat Express) from New Delhi railway station.
Offering a peek into the future of rail travel, Train 18 is India’s fastest engine-less train set designed for a maximum operational speed of 160 kmph.

The ‘Make in India’ semi-high speed train will run on the Delhi-Varanasi route, starting from today. The IRCTC ticket booking for this train has already opened, although it will begin its commercial operations from February 17.

The luxurious new train will operate for five days in a week except Monday and Thursday. The journey time will be 8 hours from Delhi to Varanasi with stops at Kanpur and Prayagraj.
Passengers travelling the Vande Bharat Express will get appetizing dishes from high-end brands like Nescafe, Pind Balluchi, Chaayos and Landmark Hotel. They will be served morning tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner and evening tea.
