Several states extended COVID curbs and announced new travel guidelines this week. Along with this, while on one hand new summer special trains were announced by the Indian Railways, several services were cancelled for operational reasons.

Search TrainsDelhi, Haryana Extend Lockdown; Corona Curfew Extended in Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir
Delhi and Haryana extended the lockdowns placed in their jurisdictions. Along with this, Uttar Pradesh announced the extension of the partial corona curfew placed in the state. All 20 districts of the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir also got curfew extensions. All these restrictions will remain in force till May 17. See the official orders here…
Summer Special Trains 2021: Full Schedule Announced
In order to meet the demand of travellers, Indian Railways has decided to start a number of summer special trains on various routes. 16 summer special trains will be operated by the Northern Railways between destinations like Mumbai-Gorakhpur, Ahmedabad-Danapur, Surat-bhagalpur, Pune-Gorakhpur, Dadar-Manduadih and many more. Services of Several Special Trains Cancelled
Rail Minister Piyush Goyal announced the cancellation of several special train services until further notice. According to a press release, the special trains have been cancelled due to a reduction in passenger demand. Know the train details here…
Lockdown Extended in Maharashtra, Jharkhand; More States Change Guidelines
Indian states continue to take stringent measures to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19 in the country.
A few states, including Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Gujarat, have extended their existing night curfews and lockdowns, while a few others, including Assam and Telangana have imposed new restrictions. Check them here…
