Railway passengers at the Mumbai Central station can now enjoy freshly baked pizza and other food items from automatic food vending machines at the Gen NX food-vending court.
These food vending machines will offer thin-crust pizzas, french fries, popcorn, fresh fruit juice, ice cream and much more.
In collaboration with Bueno Insta Pizza Ltd. (YESS PIZZA) and Owl Tech Private Ltd. (FRSHLY), IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) has set up food vending machines offering fresh food to passengers.
An IRCTC official said, “The machines will work on the principle of 3Fs: fresh, fast and fun. Passengers can relish fast food items and various cuisines through the vending machines.”
Travellers will also get pre-packaged meals from various popular brands via an automated machine. These meals will have a shelf life of 6-8 hours.
