In today’s aviation news, the Delhi Airport has added another feather in its cap. For the month of October, the Indira Gandhi International Airport has emerged as the 10th busiest airport in the world.

As per the latest rankings released by travel analytics firm Official Airline Guide (OAG), the national capital’s airport improved its position on the list from 14th in 2019 to the current spot.

To determine the rankings, OAG compared this month’s scheduled airline capacity to the same month in 2019, which was before the COVID-19 pandemic. The airports’ combined domestic and international capacity are used as the basis to ascertain the top 10 spots.
