Counted among the best airports in the country, Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru will soon be able to accommodate up to 9,000 people. As per the reports, the airport will serve as a venue for a wide range of events such as award shows, music concerts, exhibitions and conventions. Also, the airport will soon serve as a wedding venue for soon-to-be-wed couples.
As per the officials, the proposed arena at the Kempegowda International Airport will be developed on a 6.3-acre land parcel to meet the growing demand for entertainment events in Bengaluru.
Book FlightsAn airport official said, “In keeping with BIAL’s vision is to make the BLR Airport the gateway to a new India and a destination in itself, this offering is part of a wide range of amenities that will keep both passengers and visitors entertained.”.
A BIAL spokesperson also confirmed, “Since the project is in the initial stages, we are unable to share accurate timelines or budgets.”
Note: The construction of this new arena will not impact the traffic going to and from the airport.
