God’s own country is going to get its third Vande Bharat Express train very soon. The rake of the third train has already reached the state.
This third Vande Bharat Express is expected to run on the routes between Ernakulam and Bangalore. The rake of the train is currently stationed at Kollam due to space constraints in Ernakulam.
As of now, two Vande Bharat Express trains are operating in the state on the Thiruvananthapuram – Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram – Mangalore routes.
With the launch of the third Vande Bharat Express train, the travel time from Ernakulam to Bangalore will be nine hours. The timing and other details will be announced soon by the Railways.
