Both Humsafar and Tejas will have smoke detection and suppression system and CCTVs.
And that’s not all! The coaches of Tejas will be well-equipped with 22 new features including LED boards (communicating safety instructions) and entertainment screens for passengers along with a handphone socket.
Additionally, there will be integrated braille displays, electronic passenger reservation chart, Wi-Fi facility, bio-vacuum toilets, digital destination boards, and sensitized driers and taps.
As per a senior Railway Ministry official, “Design features of the coaches of Tejas, Humsafar, Antyodaya and Deen Dayalu have been finalised now. The production units have been instructed to manufacture and equip the coaches accordingly”.
He further added that this new premier class train will provide state-of-the-art facilities such as snack tables, coffee/vending machines, and magazines.
It is learnt that Humsafar and Tejas trains along with Deen Dayalu coaches and Antyodaya Express will be introduced in the current fiscal as part of the budget proposal.
