What is PNR?
PNR stands for “Passenger Name Record”. Indian Railways’ PNR numbers are 10-digit numerical combinations against which passengers’ details and records are stored in the IRCTC database. These details range from personal information to the railway zone and booking status. Below is a step by step guide about how you can check your PNR status.
Steps to Complete Your PNR Status Check
You can check your PNR status easily on ixigo by following these steps:
Step 1: Go to the ixigo website’s PNR status page.
Step 2: On the top left, you’ll see an “Enter 10 digit PNR Number” option. Enter your 10-digit PNR number here. You can find your PNR number easily on your e-ticket or paper ticket.
Step 3: Click “SEARCH” to complete your PNR check.
Step 4: You will be able to view the information related to the PNR number, including the train number, the source and the destination, the seat number (if applicable).
The ixigo PNR status page also displays additional information for the passenger(s): one can view the cancellation charges and the cancellation policy associated with the ticket. You can view all these details while carrying out your PNR enquiry.
