To ease out the maximum rush of tourists during the peak summer months, the Northern Railway has decided to run a special train from April for Vaishno Devi pilgrims to Katra. These special trains will also be serving passengers going to Haridwar from Malda.
List of Trains
The details of special trains that will be operating during this summer season are listed below:
Katra-Delhi :- From April 3 to June 30, every Monday and Friday, the Anand Vihar – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Bi-Weekly Express Special train will depart from Anand Vihar station at 10:20 PM and reach Katra the next day at 1 PM.
While on its return, the train will depart from Katra station at 11:50 PM on every Tuesday and Saturday from April 4 to July 1, and reach Anand Vihar next day at 2:05 PM.
The train comprises of 12 sleeper class, six general class, and two second class-cum luggage van coaches.
Stops :-The train will stop at Ghaziabad, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Yamunanagar Jagadhari, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Pathankot, Jammu and Udhampur stations.
Malda-Haridwar :- The Malda – Haridwar Weekly Summer Special train will run for a duration from from April 24 to June 27. It will depart from Malda at 9:05 AM on every Monday and reach Haridwar at 1:50 PM the next day.
On its return, the train will depart from Haridwar at 4:05 PM on every Tuesday starting from April 25 and reach Malda at 11.30 PM the next day.
It will comprise of one AC-2 coach, three AC-3, seven sleeper class, six general class and two disabled friendly second class-cum-luggage van coaches.
Stops :- The train will stop at New Farakka, Barharwa, Sahibganj, Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Sultanganj, Jamalpur, Abhaipur, Kiul, Mokama, Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, Ara, Buxar, Mughalsarai, Varanasi, Lucknow, Moradabad and Laksar stations.
