Special Trains For Durga Puja and Diwali

To handle the rush of passengers during festivals like Durga Puja and Diwali, the Southern Eastern Railway has decided to run 58 pairs of Festival Special towards destinations including Gondia, Puri, Pune, Ernakulam, Visakhapatnam, Chennai  and Mumbai from October 3 to November 11.

08043/08044 Santragachi-Gondia-Santragachi Weekly AC Superfast Puja Specials (9 pairs):
The Santragachi-Gondia Special (08043) leaving Santragachi every Monday at 14:50 hours will reach Gondia at 06:05 hours, the next day. In the return direction, the train (08044) leaving Gondia every Tuesday at 12:40 hours will arrive Santragachi at 06:10 hours, the next day. The Special train will run during the period from 03.10.16 to 29.11.16.

 

02860/02859 Santragachi-LTT-Santragachi Weekly AC Superfast Special (2 pairs):
The Santragachi-LTT Superfast AC Special (02860) leaving Santragachi o­n 27.10.16 and 03.11.16 at 18.30 hrs. will reach LTT at 23.45 hrs., the next day. In the return direction, LTT-Santragachi AC Superfast Special (02859) departing LTT o­n 29.10.16 and 05.11.16 at 13.20 hrs. will arrive Santragachi at 18.15 hrs., the next day.

 

02822/02821 Santragachi-Pune-Santragachi Weekly AC Superfast Special (8 pairs):
The Santragachi-Pune Superfast AC Special (02822) leaving Santragachi every Saturday at 18.30 hrs. will reach Pune at 02.45 hrs., o­n Monday. In the return direction, Pune-Santragachi Superfast AC Special (02821) departing Pune every Monday at 10.30 hrs. will arrive Santragachi at 18.15 hrs., the next day. The Special train will run during the period from 08.10.2016 to 28.11.2016.

02809/02810 Santragachi-Puri-Santragachi Superfast Weekly Special (8 Pairs):
The Santragachi-Puri Special (02809) leaving Santragachi every Thursday at 19:00 hours will reach Puri at 03:20 hours, the next day. In the return direction, the train (02810) leaving Puri every Friday at 13:30 hours will arrive Santragachi at 22:15 hours, the same day. The Special train will run during the period from 06.10.2016 to 25.11.2016.

 

08119/08120 Tatanagar-Durg-Tatanagar Weekly Special (9 Pairs):
The Tatanagar-Durg Special(08119) leaving Tatanagar every Tuesday at 20:00 hours will reach Durg at 06:15 hours, the next day. In the return direction, the train(08120) leaving Durg every Wednesday at 21:40 hours will arrive Tatanagar at 09:25 hours, the next day. The Special train will run during the period from 04.10.2016 to 30.11.2016.

 

08189/08190 Tatanagar-Visakhapatnam-Tatanagar Weekly Special (6 Pairs):
The Tatanagar-Visakhapatnam Special (08189) leaving Tatanagar every Friday at 13:00 hours will reach Visakhapatnam at 05:25 hours, the next day. In the return direction, the train (08190) leaving Visakhapatnam every Saturday at 17:45 hours will arrive Tatanagar at 10:45 hours, the next day. The Special train will run during the period from 07.10.2016 to 12.11.2016.

02853/02854 Howrah-Ernakulam-Howrah Weekly Superfast Suvidha Specials
The Howrah-Ernakulam Suvidha Special leaving Howrah every Saturday at 17:00 hours (until 27th November 2016) will reach Ernakulam at 06:00 hours o­n Monday. In the return direction, the train leaving Ernakulam every Tuesday at 08:50 hours (until 29th November 2016), will arrive Howrah at 23:00 hours o­n Wednesday. The Suvidha Special consisting of 19 coaches (AC 3 Tier-4, AC 2 Tier -1, Sleeper Class-12 and Luggage Van-2) will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, o­ngole, Nellore, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Erode and Coimbatore enroute and in the return direction, the train will also stop at Aluva, Thrissur, and Palakkad.

 

00841/00842 Howrah-Chennai-Howrah Weekly AC Superfast Special
The Howrah-Chennai AC Superfast Special leaving Howrah every Saturday at 12:40 (till 26th November 2016) hours will reach Chennai at 15:05 hours o­n Sunday. In the return direction, the train leaving Chennai every Sunday at 17:10 hours (until 27th November 2016), will arrive Howrah at 18:30 hours o­n Monday. The Special trains consisting of 14 AC-3 Tier coaches will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Visakhapatnam, Duvvada, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada and Nellore between Howrah and Chennai. By running of these festive specials, South Eastern Railway has been able to generate around 71,000 (seventy o­ne thousand) additional accommodation for the huge rush of passengers during the ensuing festive season.

Important thing to note:

Advance Reservation Period (ARP) of these trains is 60 days and for Suvidha special is 30 days (excluding journey date).
