Good news for train travellers!
The Indian Railways has announced special trains, extension of special trains and temporary increment of coaches in many trains on important routes.

This decision was taken in light of the upcoming Holi festival and the consequent spike in travel during this time.

The East Coast Railway has extended the services of the following trains on the passengers’ demand –
Train no. 08439 Puri – Patna Special Express will run from Puri on Saturdays till 22nd May.
Train no. 08440 Patna – Puri Special Express will run on Sundays till 29th May.
Both the trains will run as per the schedule and stoppages of train nos. 08539/08440 Puri – Patna – Puri Special.
In order to clear the extra rush of passengers, the Indian Railways will extend weekly special trains between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad.

The Western Railway has decided to run Holi special superfast trains on special fare between Mumbai Central – Jaipur – Borivali, Bandra Terminus – Bhagat ki Kothi – Borivali and Bandra Terminus – Bhavnagar.

Also, for the convenience of travellers, the Western Railway has decided to temporarily install extra sleeper coaches in four pairs of trains of the Bhavnagar division.
