At the launch of the tourism fair ‘Paryatan Parv’, Tourism Minister Prahlad Patel said, “Single-use plastics will not be allowed inside monuments and within 100 metres of them.” He further stated that this move is in line with Mahatma Gandhi’s beliefs concerning clean and sustainable tourism.

The week-long fair had been organized to promote ‘Dekho Apna Desh’, aiming to encourage Indians to travel the country and to spread the message of ’Tourism for All’.
