For the convenience of passengers, the Indian Railways is adding some more special trains on high-rush routes.
- The Southern Eastern Railway has decided to run special trains between Shalimar – Bhanjpur – Shalimar w.e.f. from 13th January. Another special train to run between Bhanjpur – Puri – Bhanjpur starting from tomorrow.

- The South Central Railway has announced three Sankranti Jansadharan Special Trains between Secunderabad – Anakapalle, Secunderabad – Narsapur and Secunderabad – Tirupati.

- The Eastern Railway is starting 12 Galloping special trains from today. Out of 12 EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) trains, five trains will leave from Sealdah South, two trains from Kolkata Station, five trains from Namkhana, one train from Lakshmikantapur and one train from Kakdwip.
