The Indian Railways undertakes maintenance and improvement measures from time-to-time to ensure that train passengers continue to have a safe and comfortable train journey.
The national transporter has shared a new list of trains that are going to be diverted on various dates in the coming days due to maintenance work being carried out in various rail zones. Train passengers must make a note of these changes so as to avoid any hassles later on.

The Western Railway has diverted as many as 14 trains on various dates in October.
These trains have been diverted due to non-interlocking work for commissioning of double lines between various railway stations of the Solapur division of Central Railways:
1. Train no. 09054 Ahmedabad – MGR Chennai Central Special will be diverted via Surat – Jalgaon – Bhusaval – Wardha – Balharshah – Secunderabad – Raichur instead of via Surat – Vasai Road – Pune – Wadi – Raichur on 23rd October.
2. Train no. 09053 MGR Chennai Central – Ahmedabad Special will be diverted via Raichur – Secunderabad – Balharshah – Wardha – Bhusaval – Jalgaon – Surat instead of via Raichur – Wadi – Pune – Vasai Road – Surat on 22nd October.
3. Train no. 09220 Ahmedabad – MGR Chennai Central Special will be diverted via Surat – Jalgaon – Bhusaval – Wardha – Balharshah – Secunderabad – Raichur instead of via Surat – Vasai Road – Pune – Wadi – Raichur on 25th October.
4. Train no. 09219 MGR Chennai Central – Ahmedabad Special will be diverted via Raichur – Secunderabad – Balharshah – Wardha – Bhusaval – Jalgaon – Surat instead of via Raichur – Wadi – Pune – Vasai Road – Surat on 20th and 27th October.
5. Train no. 06502 Yesvantpur – Ahmedabad Special will be diverted via Raichur – Secunderabad – Balharshah – Wardha – Jalgaon instead of via Raichur – Wadi – Solapur – Kurduvadi – Daund Jn. – Manmad – Jalgaon on 24th October.
6. Train no. 06501 Ahmedabad – Yesvantpur Special will be diverted via Jalgaon – Wardha – Balharshah – Secunderabad – Raichur instead of via Jalgaon – Manmad – Daund Jn. – Kurduvadi – Solapur – Wadi on 19th and 26th October.
7. Train no. 02755 Rajkot – Secunderabad Special will be diverted via Pune – Miraj – Kurduvadi – Solapur instead of via Pune – Daund – Solapur on 20th, 21st, 25th and 27th October.
8. Train no. 02756 Secunderabad – Rajkot Special will be diverted via Solapur – Kurduvadi – Miraj – Pune instead of via Solapur – Daund – Pune on 19th, 23rd, 25th and 26th.
9. Train no. 07204 Kakinada Town – Bhavnagar Terminus Special will be diverted via Solapur – Kurduvadi – Miraj Jn.– Pune instead of via Solapur – Daund – Pune on 21st October.
10. Train no. 07203 Bhavnagar Terminus – Kakinada Town Special will be diverted via Pune – Miraj Jn. – Kurduvadi – Solapur instead of via Pune – Daund – Solapur on 23rd October.
11. Train no. 09016 Indore – Lingampalli Special will be diverted via Pune – Miraj – Kurduvadi – Solapur instead of via Pune – Daund – Solapur on 23rd October.
12. Train no. 09015 Lingampalli – Indore Special will be diverted via Solapur – Kurduvadi – Miraj – Pune instead of via Solapur – Daund – Pune on 24th October.
13. Train no. 09120 Kevadiya – MGR Chennai Central Special will be diverted via Pune – Miraj Jn. – Kurduvadi – Solapur instead of via Pune – Daund – Solapur on 20th and 27th October.
14. Train no. 09119 MGR Chennai Central – Kevadiya Special will be diverted via Solapur – Kurduvadi – Miraj – Pune – instead of via Solapur – Daund – Pune on 24th October.
The South Western Railway will also be diverting two trains due to the non-interlocking work in Solapur division of the Central Railway zone:
1. Train no. 01017 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Karaikal Weekly Express Special will be diverted via Pune – Miraj – SSS Hubballi – Yesvantpur – Jolarpettai – Katpadi – Vellore Cantt. – Villupuram on 23rd October.
2. Train no. 01018 Karaikal – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Weekly Express Special will be diverted via Villupuram – Vellore Cantt. – Katpadi – Jolarpettai – Yesvantpur – SSS Hubballi – Miraj – Pune on 25th October.
