Bihar’s Sampark Kranti has become a major attraction for the passengers lately. Coaches decorated with Mithila art paintings look graceful and are catching everyone’s attention.
The most amazing part about these coaches are that they are painted by women from Bihar using fingers, twigs, matchsticks, brushes, natural dyes and pigments.
Madhubani or Mithila is an art form of the Mithila region of Bihar, which is famous for its unique geometric patterns used for creating colourful paintings. Also, Railways has taken an initiative to paint the coaches of Rajdhani and Shatabdi with different Indian art forms in the coming days.
As per the reports, 22 coaches of the Patna Rajdhani will be painted shortly with the traditional Madhubani paintings. Jansadharan Express will also be adorned with the paintings.
