Built under the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail line, the station started passenger services this week. Train no. 04605 (Jammu Tawi Weekly Special) was the first to arrive here. The scenic station in Uttarakhand will be fitted with modern amenities for passenger convenience.
Once completed, the Rishikesh–Karnaprayag rail line will majorly cut travel times for the Char Dham Yatra. The line is meant to connect Srinagar, Dehradun, Karnaprayag, Devprayag, Tehri Garhwal, Pauri Garhwal, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, and other Himalayan locations that have holy sites.

Rishikesh Music Festival 2021
An annual fiesta by the Ganga, the event will be held at The Narayana Palace by Salvus (near Laxman Jhula) on January 17 and 18 from 2 pm to 6 pm. The hotel is only 20 minutes from the new Yog Nagari station.
Whether you want to enjoy kirtans, western buskers or a sunset jam, this is the perfect chance to unwind on a weekend trip to the hills. The multi-genre lineup will include Indian and global artists.
