As the registration for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2019 has begun, here are 4 important points you must know:
1. The holiest Kailash Mansarovar Yatra organised by the Ministry of External Affairs is scheduled to take place between 8 June to 8 September 2019.
2. The registration started on 9th April and the last day for the same is 19th May 2019. This time, the yatra will be organised on two routes – the Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand and Nathu La in Sikkim.
3. It will be conducted in 18 batches of 60 pilgrims each. The duration of the Yatra is 24 days for each batch.
4. If you opt for the journey via Lipulekh Pass, it would cost Rs.1,80,000; undertaking the Kailash yatra via Sikkim’s Nath La will cost Rs.2,50,000 per person. Applicants would be chosen on the basis of a computer-generated draw.

Trains: Laukaha Bazar is the nearest railway station from Kailash Mansarovar. It takes almost 10 hours to reach Laukaha Bazar from New Delhi.
