One of the most auspicious Hindi festivals, Ram Navami celebrates the birth of Lord Ram, the 7th avatar of Lord Vishnu.
This spring festival is observed on the last day of the nine-day long Navratri festivities. This year, Ram Navami will be observed on April 14, Sunday.

The muhurat for Rama Navami Pooja will begin from 11.13 AM and end at 1.43 PM. The duration will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Significance:
Celebrated on the 9th day of Chaitra month, Ram Navami specifies the removal of bad powers, giving way to the divine powers on earth.

- Kale Chane: As a part of the Navami ritual, Kala Chana (Bengal gram) is prepared with poori and halwa.
- Sooji ka Halwa: Prepared for a number of auspicious occasions in India, this dessert plays an important role on the Navmi day for Kanya Bhog (feeding young girls to offer food to goddess Durga)
