To assist pilgrims arriving in large numbers during the Kumbh Mela in 2019, the railways is preparing to run 800 special trains from various stations of Prayagraj district.

PRO NCR Amit Malviya said, “Six special trains will come to Prayagraj from different railway zones of the country for pilgrims and tourists participating in the Kumbh Mela.”
These 800 special trains will be in addition to the regular ones that run from Prayagraj.
For sleeper coaches in regular mails and express train, the fare will be Rs.10 per seat, while for AC chair car and AC third class, fares will start from Rs.20.
Second AC or AC 2-tier train tickets will cost Rs.30 and the fare for first class AC ticket will be Rs.40.
