Railways to Run 26 Special Trains from the Northeast for the Festive Season

In preparation for the festive season, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), in coordination with Indian Railways, has announced the operation of 13 pairs (26 trains) of special services. These trains will run from October 1 to November 30 to ensure smooth travel and manage the increased passenger demand during Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath Puja.

These festival special trains will serve major destinations such as Amritsar, Gorakhpur, Bengaluru, Prayagraj, Kolkata, Anand Vihar, and Shri Ganganagar, among others. Additionally, they will cater to passengers traveling to other key locations along the route.

These special trains will enhance interconnectivity within the Northeast during the festive season, covering areas like Agartala, Silchar, Naharlagun, New Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Katihar, and nearby regions.

The NFR has planned 26 special trains with a total of 254 trips for the festivals.
