Indian Railways is all set to make the festive season better. The national transporter will be running 120 special trains on the occasion of Dusshera, Diwali and Chhath.
As passenger movement is higher during the festivals, the Indian Railways is already planning more trains to accommodate traffic.

Book Train TicketsThe trains are likely to be operational through cities such as Mumbai, Patna, Lucknow and Kolkata among others.
The national transporter is coordinating with Maharashtra and West Bengal governments to allow these special trains.
After the final decision is taken and the dates are finalised, the government will announce new SOPs for these festive special trains.

Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, Railways had suspended the majority of passenger operations. However, select train services resumed in May.
In fact, earlier this month Railways announced 40 pairs of new trains to handle the increasing passenger demand.
