Railways Releases Vacancy List for 18,799 Assistant Loco Pilot Posts!

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the revised vacancy list for the recruitment of 18,799 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts in the Indian Railways.

In a revised notification issued on July 4, the RRB announced a jump in vacancies from 5,696 to a substantial 18,799, offering a major opportunity for aspiring train operators.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for RRB ALP Recruitment 2024, candidates must have completed ITI or a Diploma in the relevant field or subject.

Age Limit:

Candidates must be at least 18 years old to be eligible. The maximum age limit is set at 30 years. Age will be calculated as of July 1, 2024. Candidates from reserved categories are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit.

Selection Process:

Computer-Based Tests (CBTs):

CBT-1 (August 2024): This test will assess knowledge in areas like General Awareness, Science & Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning.

CBT-2 (September 2024): This exam will focus on technical aptitude specific to the Assistant Loco Pilot role.

Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) (November 2024): This test evaluates a candidate’s mental ability, including problem-solving, analytical skills, and basic understanding of computers.

Document Verification and Medical Examination: Successful candidates from the CBT stages will undergo document verification to ensure eligibility and a medical exam to assess fitness for the job.
