Railways Partially Cancels and Diverts Trains on These Routes

The Indian Railways has decided to divert, partially cancel and revise the timings of several trains keeping in view the maintenance work and the ongoing farmers’ agitation. 

Passengers are advised to take note of the affected train schedules to avoid any inconvenience while travelling.

>Due to some technical issues in connection with doubling of track between Omalur and Metturdam of Salem Division of the Southern Railway, the following trains have been diverted –

  1. Train no. 11014 Coimbatore –  Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Daily Express commencing journey from Coimbatore on 2nd January and 2nd March.
  2. Train No. 12678 Ernakulam –  KSR Bengaluru Daily Superfast Express commencing journey from Ernakulam on 2nd March.
  3. Train No. 12677 KS Bengaluru –  Ernakulam Daily Superfast Express commencing journey from KS Bengaluru on 2nd March.

The Northeast Frontier Railway has also announced the revision of timings of certain trains at the New Jalpaiguri Station for better mobility and punctuality.

>Owing to the farmers’ agitation, the following trains have been partially cancelled today i.e. 23rd December –

  1. Train no. 19226 Jammu Tawi – Jodhpur will originate from Bathinda Station instead of Jammu Tawi. It will remain cancelled between Jammu Tawi and Bathinda.
  2. Train no. 12414 Jammu Tawi – Ajmer will originate from Delhi instead of Jammu Tawi. It will remain cancelled between Jammu Tawi and Delhi.

>Due to the yard remodeling work at the Naini Junction of Prayagraj Division, the following train services will be diverted –

  1. Train no. 12307 Howrah – Jodhpur Express commencing journey on 9th January will be diverted via Prayagraj Chheoki, Manikpur Junction, Jhansi Junction, Agra Cantt. and Achhnera Junction.
  2. Train no. 12308 Jodhpur – Howrah Express commencing journey between 30th December and 7th January will be diverted via Achhnera Junction, Agra Cantt., Jhansi, Manikpur and Prayagraj Chheoki.
  3. Train no. 22308 Bikaner – Howrah Express commencing journey between 1st and 9th January will be diverted via Achhnera Junction, Agra Cantt, Jhansi, Manikpur and Prayagraj Chheoki.

>The South Western Railway has revised the timings of the following train services with effect from 22nd December –

  1. Train no. 16511 KSR Bengaluru – Kannur Daily Express will reach Mangaluru Central Station at 6:50 am instead of 7:28 am and will leave by 6:52 am.
  2. Train no. 06488 Subrahmanya Road – Mangaluru Central Express Special will reach its destination station, Mangaluru Central at 4:25 pm instead of 4:10 pm.
