Indian Railways has been implementing additional safety measures at the stations and in the trains to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Along with hygiene & cleanliness, fumigation of coaches, Railways has also put efforts to make the stations touch-free and therefore safer.
In a bid to fight Coronavirus, Railways has installed ‘Thermal Imaging Camera’ combined with ‘Facial Recognition Technology’ at the entry & exit points of Lucknow & Varanasi stations.

Also, a sensor-based contact-less sanitizer dispenser has been installed in the commercial department of Northern Railways. Soon, more such dispensers shall be installed in other departments of the division.
