The Indian Railways has announced the launch of special trains and extended a few services ahead of the festive season.

> The Eastern Railway has decided to run three pairs of Puja Special trains.

> The Northeast Frontier Railway will be running two special trains between Sealdah and New Jalpaiguri. Here are the details:
Train no. 82311 Sealdah–New Jalpaiguri Special will depart from Sealdah at 11:50 PM on 6th October, and will reach New Jalpaiguri at 10:10 AM the next day.
Train no. 82312 New Jalpaiguri–Sealdah Special will depart from New Jalpaiguri at 12 PM on 7th October, and will reach Sealdah at 11:35 PM the same day.
> The South Central Railway will be running a one-way special service for Tirupati pilgrims.
Train no. 07489 Hyderabad–Tirupati Special will operate on 13th, 20th and 27th September.
> The Konkan Railway has announced the extension of Jabalpur–Coimbatore–Jabalpur Weekly Superfast Festival Special.

> Starting from 2nd October (Saptami), passengers from Kolkata will be served at least one Bengali dish in Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains for four festive days. The food plazas at Howrah and Sealdah stations will also be offering Bengali delicacies during this time.
