This initiative is designed to provide convenience to travellers who often struggle to find suitable food options while travelling, especially during religious observances.
The Navratri Vrat Special Thali has been specifically crafted to cater to the dietary requirements of passengers observing fasts during the festival. During Navratri, many individuals avoid regular foods and follow a particular diet that excludes grains, onions, garlic, and other ingredients.
Acknowledging this need, Indian Railways has thoughtfully curated this meal, allowing passengers to maintain their religious practices while on the move.
The special thali is offered at major railway stations across India, including Mumbai Central, Delhi Junction, Surat, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna Junction, Ludhiana, Durg, Chennai Central, Secunderabad, Amravati, Hyderabad, Tirupati, Jalandhar City, Udaipur City, Bengaluru Cantt, New Delhi, Thane, Pune, Mangalore Central, and many more.
