Railways Launches Multiple New Trains

Train travellers, rejoice!  

Indian Railways has announced the launching of many new trains. The move will help the national transporter accommodate a higher number of passengers in the coming months. Scroll down for more details.

> The Southern Railway tweeted that it will start a pair of trains between KSR Bengaluru and Mangaluru Central. 

Train no. 06547 KSR Bengaluru–Mangaluru Central Special will depart from Bengaluru at 8:30 PM, and reach its destination at 9:05 AM the next day. 

Train no. 06548 Mangaluru Central–KSR Bengaluru Special will depart from Mangaluru at 6:35 PM, and reach its destination at 6:15 AM the next day.

Both these services will operate on a tri-weekly basis, starting from 26th July (from Bengaluru) and 27th July (from Mangaluru).

> The South Central Railway notified about 26 weekly trains on two routes: Yesvantpur–Kacheguda and Visakhapatnam–Bengaluru.

For the information about the services between Visakhapatnam and Bengaluru, here is the official tweet

> The North Eastern Railway has decided to run two pairs of new trains on the popular routes of Amritsar–Gorakhpur and Gonda–Varanasi

  • Starting from 1st August, train no. 14213 Varanasi–Gonda Express will depart from Varanasi everyday at 2 PM, and will reach Gonda at 8:10 PM the same day.

  • Starting from 2nd August, train no. 14214 Gonda–Varanasi Express will depart from Gonda everyday at 6:50 AM, and will reach Varanasi at 1:40 PM the same day.

  • Starting from 7th August, train no. 22424 Amritsar–Gorakhpur SuperFast Weekly Express will depart from Amritsar every Sunday at 12:45 PM, and will reach Gorakhpur at 7:55 AM the next day.

  • Starting from 8th August, train no. 22423 Gorakhpur–Amritsar SuperFast Weekly Express will depart from Gorakhpur every Monday at 10:45 AM, and will reach Amritsar at 6:30 AM the next day.
