Railways Announces Launch and Extension of Several Trains

The Indian Railways has decided to launch many new trains and also extended a few. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the expected travel spike in the coming months.

Here are the complete details:

> Starting off with the most important news, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi flagged off the sixth Vande Bharat Express of the country yesterday. The train will operate between Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) and Nagpur (Maharashtra).

> The Eastern Railway will be running a pair of winter special trains between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri on 24th and 25th December. Bookings for both these services are now open.

> The Western Railway has decided to run two superfast winter special services from 15th December to 5th January. Here are the train details:

Train no. 09415 Bandra Terminus–Gandhidham Special will depart from Bandra Terminus at 7:25 PM every Thursday, and will reach Gandhidham at 8:40 AM the next day.

Train no. 09416 Gandhidham–Bandra Terminus Special will depart from Gandhidham every Thursday at 12:30 AM, and will reach Bandra Terminus at 2:20 PM the same day. 

> The Eastern Railway has extended the trips of the Patliputra–Ayodhya Cantt. Special Express till the end of January.
