The admission process for India’s first Railway University in Vadodara has begun. Classes will commence in August and interested candidates who have passed Class 12 exams can apply until June 30.
The university cut-off is 55% and it offers courses like B.B.A in Transportation Management and B.Sc. in Transportation Technology. Other than these, there will be courses related to transport streams and will be associated to all the 300 training institutes in the Railway Ministry.
This university is the brainchild of PM Narendra Modi and it aims to ensure that the research and modernisation of India’s Railways system continues in a persistent way.
The flagship session of India’s first Railway University will be set up at the National Academy of Indian Railways (NAIR) in Vadodara, Gujarat.
At a later stage, private players may also be included to partner with the running of the university.
