In order to help passengers who might lose their face masks during train journeys or forget to bring their own bedding, railway station stalls will soon sell masks, sanitizers, pillows and blankets along with food and other necessary items.

Search TrainsThe proposal, which was made by the West Central Railway Zone, has been approved by the Railway Board. As a result, these necessary items will soon be sold on all railway divisions under the Zone, including Bhopal.
It may be noted that bedding is not being provided in special trains for safety purposes. Railways has advised passengers to carry their own linen for their upcoming train journeys.
The Railway Board has instructed the Zone to strictly ensure that there is no compromise on the quality of the face masks and other items to be sold. Also, the items are not to be sold at inflated prices.
Along with bringing relief to passengers, this move will also help in increasing the income of railway station vendors who are severely affected due to less sale of food items at stations.
