The Indian Railways has extended multiple special trains for trips in May and June 2021. The extensions ought to help passengers who urgently need to travel to and from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Assam and Jharkhand.

40 WR trains extended on major routes
The Western Railways will be extending trips for 20 pairs of special trains in May 2021. This will boost connectivity for popular stations such as Mumbai Central, Gorakhpur, Surat, Bhagalpur, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bandra Terminus, Guwahati and Chhapra.

For the convenience of passengers, WR has decided to run an additional special between Bandra Terminus and Jhansi.
It has also been decided to extend trips of 21 Special Trains.

In the announcement above, it has also been mentioned that a weekly superfast special express train (02200/02199) connecting Bandra Terminus and Jhansi will run till July.
