1. Expansion of the intercity special express trains in Bihar
Railways has decided to expand the operations of intercity express special trains running in the state of Bihar from 17. 09. 2020 to 30. 09. 2020.

2. Special trains between Anand Vihar and Sitamarhi
IRCTC COVID Special trains between Anand Vihar and Sitamarhi will start from September 19 and 21, 2020 on the route of Lichhavi Express.

3. Varanasi’s Manduadih railway station renamed as ‘Banaras’ railway station
The governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel, has approved the name change of Manduadih Railway Station of Varanasi to Banaras, after a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Central Government.

4. PM Modi inaugurated Kosi Rail Mega Bridge in Bihar
Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the Kosi Rail Mega Bridge in Bihar. Apart from that, the PM also inaugurated other rail projects related to passenger facilities for the benefit of the state.
