The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced as many as 192 trains to cater to the huge rush of pilgrims to the temple city of Puri for the world famous Rath Yatra on July 4.
Emergency train services have also been arranged by the railways. As a part of other arrangements, Railways will open 38 ticket booking counters in Puri and 24 such counters across the state.
For a hassle-free travel experience, more automatic ticket vending machines will be installed at the railway stations.
To cater to a large number of devotees, the railways will also ensure uninterrupted telephone services along with temporary information centres across the city.

A railway official said, “A continuous watch will also be maintained on unsafe buildings and mobile towers to avoid any untoward situation like stampedes.”
