Maharajas’ Express, operated by IRCTC is the most expensive luxury train in India. This train functions between October and April and covers around 12 destinations, mostly in Rajasthan.

Palace on Wheels- the pride of royal Rajasthan, truly depicts the impressive glory of the state. The train started in 1982 and was based on the royal coaches of the British Era.

4. Mahaparinirvan Express
Specifically for Buddhist pilgrims, Mahaparinirvan Express was initiated on March 28, 2007. The train travels through the different Buddhist sites of North India like Varanasi, Bodh Gaya, Lumbini and Kushinagar.
5. The Deccan Odyssey
Launched to boost tourism in Maharashtra, the Deccan Odyssey starts from Mumbai and covers 10 popular tourist attractions like Goa, Ratnagiri, Aurangabad, Ajanta-Ellora, etc.
