Great news for train travellers across the nation!
On 31st October, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi flagged off two pairs of trains that will cover important routes. He also dedicated two new Railway projects to the country. Scroll down to know more about these updates.

On the occasion of National Unity Day, the Prime Minister launched the following rail services:
- Train no. 09519 Jetalsar–Lunidhar Special
- Train no. 09520 Lunidhar–Jetalsar Special
- Train no. 09477 Asarva–Udaipur City Express Special
- Train no. 09609 Udaipur City–Asarva Express Special
Here are the other major highlights:
> These new trains will facilitate better and direct connectivity between Udaipur and Kutch, both of which are popular tourist destinations.
> The two Railway projects will have a budget of over Rs. 2900 crore, which include the gauge converted lines of Jetalsar–Lunidhar and Asarva–Udaipur.
> As a result of these new lines, the distance between Bhavnagar and Veraval will be significantly reduced from 470 kilometres to approximately 290 kilometres.
> The projects will be a big relief to traders, tourists and individuals working in the manufacturing industry.
> The Jetalsar–Lunidhar converted line will lead to decongestion on other routes, such as Kanalus–Rajkot–Viramgam, and will provide greater connectivity to the Gir Sanctuary, Diu, Somnath Temple and more tourist attractions.
