The train features a vintage-style electric engine that resembles an old-fashioned steam locomotive. Despite being powered by electricity, its appearance dates back to the charm of old trains. With a seating capacity of 144 passengers, the train comprises four coaches and includes a restaurant capable of accommodating 28 diners.
To make the journey of the passengers more memorable and to add a touch of yesteryear nostalgia, the Heritage Special Train will be an added attraction for the tourists visiting the Statue of Unity.
The new train will have ticket fares matching up trains like Shatabdi. The train will have 100 km/hour speed. It will have a passenger information system and vista dome coach-like glass windows.
